The kind of material of the dining room furniture is very important, as far as the pricing and the degree of care is concern. Some materials are too fragile and they may require that you have the right kind of plans in place to avoid losses. There are situations that such dining room furniture may not be ideal for your home. A good example is the case where you have children that are young and very playful or a pet that is likely to cause any breakages.
Paintings are elegant and colorful and if they are original works, they can be very valuable and expensive. A professional work of art such as a painting might make for a great conversation piece in a dinning room or living room and be thought-provoking for your guests as well. Then there is the task of picking out frames for your art work. This task is almost as important as picking out the piece of art itself. Picking the wrong frame can make the art piece over powering or underwhelming and throw the entire room off completely. Lets face it, picking out artwork for a living room, formal space, or any room in your home is not easy and it can make or break the whole experience of the room.
In short go for consistency but be open to inspiration. Colors: If you look around you will notice that there is color everywhere and the colors you see will have different shades of blue or green or browns as the case may be. This is one of the secrets. Choose a range of colors and combine the shades or tonalities. When choosing strong colors (the primary colors) don’t over do it. Use the color sparingly and combine it with lighter tones and this will make that strong color stand out. Light colored ceilings make the room look larger. Strong colors on the walls will make the room look smaller. Strong wall colors should be combined with light colored carpet or hard flooring.
Space Space considerations are on of the more advanced concepts. From Feng Shui to traditional British style, space is something to pay attention to. Does your room feel open and free or cluttered and narrow? There is no real right or wrong when it comes to use of space, but consider having less furniture in a small room to give it a larger appearance and having more furniture in a large room to keep it from appearing open and barren are effective design concepts.
