| New Parent Support Program Description: The thrill of a new baby is one of life's most wonderful and challenging experiences. However, parenthood is the role we are least prepared for. The NPSP's goal is to ease the transition by providing education and support to parents during the pregnancy, birth and up through the first three years of childhood. Services:: Voluntary program consisting of home visits by family advocacy nurse specialist providing education on pregnancy, baby and toddler care, literature, videos, sibling classes, play group, basic parenting classes, referral to community resources, couples communication skills classes, family counseling, and support groups Those who could benefit: Active Duty Families with children 3 years or under; Single parents, with no local support or family, parents of difficult to parent baby or toddler, expectant or new parents needing support, stressed out individuals due to financial or marital issues, those with limited or no knowledge/experience of care for babies, those experiencing frequent TDY's or a remote tour, colicky/ fussy, or high needs baby, parents having discipline problems. |

| Anger Management Support Group The Anger Management Group is a 12 session therapy group that meets weekly and covers several areas of discussion including: learning to live without violence, effects of violence on men, women, and children, recognizing and controlling anger, alcohol, drugs and violence, learning to listen to others, feelings and communication, jealousy, becoming an assertive person, and negotiating conflicts. |

| Marriage Counseling Service Therapeutic marital counseling services offered to active duty, reserves & retired military families, as a preventative resource. The emphasis is on prevention and for those individuals that voluntarily whish to engage in counseling to address the various common problems couples face. Common concerns addressed in counseling include communication problems, parenting concerns, intimacy and relationship enhancement. Individuals take an active part in developing the goals of counseling and services which are offered at frequency tailored individual needs. |

| Women's Support Group: This is a weekly support group that is designed to allow both civilian and military women an opportunity to discuss concerns specific to women. |

Marriage 101 |

| Dads 101 Children unfortunately don't come with a book of instructions; Dad's 101 is an informative class taught by volunteer instructors who are also new dad's. Facilitators are trained teachers that can help participants feel more comfortable in their role in handling baby and to prepare for a more rewarding and enjoyable experience as a parent. The class is offered in a 2 day 4 Hr. format. Call for dates and times. |

| Prevention & Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) The program is a highly respected workshop based in 25 years of research in the field of marital health and success. Classes will focus on improving couples communication skills and enhancing intimacy in relationships. All couples are welcome. |
