Luke AFB School Liaison is available to assist military and civilian
families with questions or issues concerning public and charter schools.
As military
parents of school age children are aware, there are unique challenges
military children experience during transitioning to a new school. The
main goals of the School Liaison are to identify barriers to academic
success and develop solutions, provide parents the tools they need to
overcome educational obstacles, and develop a partnership with the local
school districts servicing military and civilian students. The role of
the School Liaison at Luke Air Force Base is to assist families ensure
their children receive the best possible education regardless of where
they attend school.
Open Enrollment or Variance
Parents may fill out an Open Enrollment or Variance Form to request
their child attend a school outside their attendance boundary. Variance
forms are located at the school or the District office and they have to
be submitted at the prospected school. Schools do have deadlines and
parents should ask the office about the deadlines. Transportation is the
responsibility of the parent or legal guardian for students who
currently live outside district boundaries. Parents are encouraged to
register their child at the designated school as defined by the
attendance zone. If the application is approved to attend the requested
school, parents are notified by the school. For more information about
Open Enrollment or Variance forms, please contact the School Liaison at
623-856-6378 or schoolliaison@luke.af.mil
